Nate is diving back into a creation period for his new work, which explores doikayt (a Yiddish term meaning “hereness" and diasporism), performative archaeology, and the dramaturgy of Jewish ceremonies. With Gambletron, Thea Patterson, Maxine Segalowitz, and Daph Bendavid V'yosef, they will explore meditations on sacred heresy of the Kabbalah tradition to shatter and remake calcified Jewish artefacts. We will work with radios that seek out phantom waves and create theramins, ancient prayer chants (piyyut), and shattered clay sculptures.
